The mission of the organization is to augment decent social security provisioning to the vulnerable sections of the Indian society.Realizing the need for, and challenge of, providing decent social security to the most vulnerable sections of the civil society, CSSAR has committed itself in working through communities towards providing education, gainful employment and protection from common risks such as sickness, injury, invalidity, old age and death and issues relating to maternity health.CSSAR firmly believes that field based actions and research will be helpful in achieving the goal of “social security for all”. Organisation :EFG (Exercise Franchise for Good Governance)
EFG (Exercise Franchise for Good Governance) is a non-political and social forum, of concerned citizens who wish to do little things that matter, with conviction that it is better to act than to sit back moan and crib. We feel deeply concerned at the unusual apathy towards political participation and have decided to come together to arrest this trend. To elaborate, the purpose of governance is to foster the common good.Good governance is a major pillar in the development of every nation. It must be accountable, transparent, participatory and inclusive. It is founded on the rule of law. Good governance must be especially sensitive to and respectful of our ethnic and religious diversities. Good governance and the promotion of the common good are not the exclusive responsibility of our governments. Other actors such as individuals, families, have a part to play. Regrettably, individuals and groups often underestimate their ability to contribute to the good governance of their nations. This may explain why many people are resigned to their oppression and suffering, and passively look forward to an external liberator. Falling voting percentage is one indicator that explains why good governance has been a distant dream even when the power to bring change and instill accountability in governance exists. EFG wishes to bring a change. The primary tool would be awareness and persuasion. It would venture into scientific data based analysis of the impact of participation as well as national agenda setting. EFG believes that with improved participation rates in elections better governance should eventually settle in by default because broad basing would make the much despised politicians less vulnerable to class and group bargaining at elections.
